Dr. Pushkar Singh has been working since 2006 in the field promoting his understanding of Gender, Gender equity, Gender equality, Communications and all related issues. He is an alumni of the Armed Forces Medical College from where he completed his MBBS In 1976 and then did his  post-graduation in Public Health from there in 1987. He served in the Indian Armed Forces for 30 years till 2006 and thereafter joined the United Nations office of Drugs and Crime as the North East Coordinator in 2006 at Shillong, India.

He has worked in varied environments in India and abroad and developed gender training for the entire North East NGO field staff associated with the National AIDS Control Organization.

Since 2009, he is working as an independent consultant in the areas of HIV/AIDS, drug de-addiction and as a gender specialist and social activist. He is a recognized teacher in the Pune University and Maharashtra University of Medical Sciences in the field of Public Health. He has conducted many workshops and Training of Trainers on Gender issues and as a Gender specialist with Cohere Consultants, he has trained various corporates on gender issues with a focus on the gendered aspects of sexual harassment.

As the lead trainer for Cohere workshops, he has developed his own style of out of the box training, which is primarily need  based, and ensures continuous engagement with the trainees. He can be contacted at pushkar.singh@cohereconsultants.com
